- Benefits of CBD
What is CBD? CBD is short for Cannabidiol, a phytocannabinoid harvested from the hemp flower and leaves (not seed). How does CBD work? CBD interacts with our body's Endocannabinoid System (ECS) which regulates physiological processes including: • Inflammation/Pain • Stress/Anxiety • Immune Function • Motor Control • Sleep Benefits of CBD: 1. Enhance hair growth > CBD helps stimulate and enhance the growth of our hair through the scalp's absorption of the main fatty acids: Omega-3, Omega-6, Omega-9. 2. Improve scalp health > Natural anti-inflammatory properties make it ideal for soothing different scalp conditions. 3. Strengthen and protect hair > CBD contains all 21 amino acids found naturally in your hair. Fatty acids provide moisture and seal the cuticle. 4. Soothe and improve certain skin conditions > CBD has a high potential for soothing skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema by encouraging abnormal cell death. 5. Soothe tension in muscles and joints > Boosts Endocannabinoid System response to neurotransmitters to reduce pain. 6. Decrease stress and improve sleep > CBD has a particularly strong bond with the 5-HT1A (stongest role in anxiety disorders) receptor in our body that helps to stimulate serotonin. - you asked, we answered | Q&A
A few weeks back, we asked you to send us questions on our instagram with any questions that you have about your hair. We saw your questions and have some answered from you from our team! What are ways to get the most life between washes (someone with an oily scalp)? Use dry shampoo after you blow-dry, not the next day! You should use it as a preventative not a fix. We have a few different dry shampoo options in our collection, if you are unsure which one will work best for your hair, consult one of our stylists. Avoid touching your hair too much during the day to keep the oils from your hands out of your hair. Lastly, brush your hair daily! What is the difference between balayage and highlights? Balayage is a freeform hand painting technique that is a lower maintenance alternative to highlighting. Highlighting is a traditional technique used when lightening the hair. When scheduling a color appointment, we highly recommend that you come into the salon for a consultation. This allows us to determine the time needed to achieve the look you are going for. How can I prevent gray hairs? Sadly, there’s no true preventative to gray hairs. The old myth is that when you pluck one hair, three more grow back. There's no scientific evidence to prove this is true, but we definitely do not recommend plucking out the hairs. If you’re not ready to fully commit to coloring your hair, you can do a gloss. A gloss is semi permanent hair color that will soften the color of the gray and will fade out with time. How to help dry damaged winter hair? The best way to treat dry damaged winter hair is by starting with a new shampoo and conditioner. If that’s not enough, we recommend doing weekly to monthly hair conditioning treatments to help put protein back into the hair and give it the moisture it is lacking. Do you have any other questions for our team? Let us know in the comments below!

- how often should you cut your hair?
You should cut your hair every 4-6 weeks to maintain the style. If you would like to grow your hair longer, wait 8-10 weeks before your next cut, depending on the health of your hair. Unhealthy of fragile hair the ends split or break off easily, which needs to be trimmed more often. It could be due to lack of moisture or protein in the hair. #haircut #howoftenshouldIcutmyhair
